Jan Kohrt was born on October, 15th, 2002. He started playing drums at the age of 10. Joining the "Drum Club" by Yeti Mansena around 2012 was the starting shot to get connected with the local music scene. With this project, he could also start improving writing, composing and arrangement skills. Since 2016 Jan Kohrt is playing with many other bands in his hometown. Becoming more aware of the technical side of making music for the last few years he started creating a home studio. In 2021 Jan joined the Amsterdam based Alt-Progressive Rockband "Abraham Sarache". "I am very lucky to have a drumkit at home, which is permanently set and
miked up. This way I am always ready to play, practice and record. I have spent
a lot of time to get my kit sounding as good as it can.
For me, the essence of a great rhythm track is real drums, played live with feel
and groove. The goal should always be to find a unique drum part for a song
that just fits the song and the musical atmosphere to 100%.
Drumming and music mean a lot to me so I try to transport this message to any
listener out there hoping they appreciate good sounding music".
If you want to get in touch with me or want further information about possible collaborations, just leave me a mail. I'm looking forward to hear from you!
